Site Safety & Health Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections for all Definable Features of Work (DFOW).
• Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship conform to contract requirements and specifications.
• Maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, deficiency logs, testing records, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and track non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate quality inspections and testing activities with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare daily QC reports and provide status updates to project management
• Implement and enforce the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Site Safety & Health Plan.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for project activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, site-specific requirements, and company safety policies.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stop work when unsafe conditions or practices are identified and coordinate corrective actions

Skills:

• Important to have OSHA certification or OSHA/ Safety Trainings.
• This person will be responsible for the safety checks at the client site!
