Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (VRS) – Moorefield, WV

As a VRS, you’ll work directly with individuals and local employers to turn career goals into real opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Provide one-on-one career guidance, job readiness, and employment support.
- Help individuals identify strengths, interests, and career goals.
- Assist with applications, interviews, onboarding, and on-the-job coaching.
- Build relationships with local employers and identify inclusive employment opportunities.
- Support workplace accommodations, assistive technology, and natural supports.
- Track progress and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Provide community/employment transportation when needed, with mileage reimbursed.
What We’re Looking For
You qualify through one of the following pathways:
Required:
- A relevant work or life experience
supporting individuals with disabilities . - Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
Experience in the following is a plus:
- Vocational rehabilitation
- Employment services or job coaching
- Workforce development
- Human or disability services
- Case management
- Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
