Resource Float Pool Registered Nurse

Overview Methodist Hospital, part of SA Health, is seeking compassionate and adaptable Resource Float Pool Registered Nurses to support patient care across multiple units within our Healthcare & Medical Services department in JOB-CITY, JOB-STATE. In this dynamic role, you will be a key member of our supportive and inclusive care team, providing high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care in areas such as medical‑surgical, telemetry, step‑down, emergency, and specialty units, depending on organizational needs and your demonstrated competencies. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments safely, monitor patient responses, and collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. Prioritize patient safety, maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, and serve as an advocate for patients and families by providing education, emotional support, and clear communication throughout the continuum of care. Follow hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention practices, participate in rapid response or code situations as needed, and contribute to quality improvement, patient experience, and unit‑based initiatives. Qualifications Registered Nurse with solid acute‑care experience. Strong clinical judgment, ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, and confidence in practicing in varied specialties and acuity levels. Demonstrated competencies in medical‑surgical, telemetry, step‑down, emergency, and specialty units. Skills in collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff.
