Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle - Patient Accounting to lead and oversee all aspects of patient financial services, including hospital and professional billing, cash posting, claims management, and accounts receivable operations.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to improve revenue cycle performance, optimize reimbursement, reduce denials, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of patient accounting, billing, follow-up, payment posting, and accounts receivable resolution

• Oversee hospital and professional billing workflows in an Epic environment

• Monitor revenue cycle KPIs including denial rates, clean claim rate, AR days, and cash collections

• Lead and mentor managers and supervisors within the revenue cycle department

• Collaborate with IT, compliance, revenue integrity, and operational teams to improve workflow efficiency

• Manage Epic-related billing tools, reporting dashboards, and workflow optimization initiatives

• Ensure compliance with payer regulations, CMS guidelines, and internal audit requirements

• Participate in system upgrades, revenue cycle projects, and process improvement initiatives

• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and operational goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required

• Minimum 8 years of experience in hospital and professional billing and claims management

• Strong Epic HB/PB experience required

• Experience implementing or optimizing Epic revenue cycle solutions preferred

• Previous Director-level leadership experience required

• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations and compliance

• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and healthcare billing systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing/Professional Billing

• Experience with revenue cycle optimization initiatives

• Strong background in denial management and AR performance improvement
