Job Description The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the clinic, including front office, laboratory, and clinical teams. The role provides leadership, staff oversight, training and development, and management of key functions and processes to ensure high-quality patient care. The manager supports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology’s mission, vision, and values and ensures compliance with all governing agencies in collaboration with Assistant Managers and Team Leads, including but not limited to OSHA, QOPI, PQRS, MIPS/MACRA. Essential Functions Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinic flow to maintain a safe environment and quality patient care. Plan, organize, and coordinate clinical and administrative activities of the clinics. Handle payroll, overtime, and staff time‑off approvals. Oversee inventory and purchasing. Conduct annual evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary processes or corrective action. Attend required meetings, conduct monthly staff meetings, and disseminate management information to staff. Collaborate with providers on operations and report to appropriate Tennessee Oncology leadership. Lead process‑improvement projects, review reports and audit results, and ensure key performance indicators are met. Enhance operational effectiveness with an emphasis on cost containment, high‑quality patient care, and staff satisfaction. Create and maintain a culture of trust, integrity, open communication, teamwork, respect, accountability, praise, and recognition. Ensure effective bidirectional communication between the clinic and upper‑level management, delegating and following up on tasks. Round on staff and patients, solicit feedback, and provide support. Maintain competencies to assist in staffing when needed. Meet timelines and deadlines, investigate and resolve patient or staff events promptly. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and building maintenance; manage outside vendor requirements including building maintenance, supplies, property management, cleaning, and equipment repairs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication with diverse audiences, including physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public. High customer‑service ethics, courteous demeanor, and efficiency in processing inquiries and complaints. Calm, effective response in emergency situations. Knowledge of clinic office procedures, medical practice, and terminology. Understanding of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and policies. Strong organizational, delegation, and supervisory skills. Problem‑solving, planning, and project management capabilities. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and medical information systems. Operational knowledge of office equipment. Team‑building and relationship‑development skills. Education & Experience Minimum one year of oversight and management experience in an outpatient medical clinic; preferred three years with oncology/hematology knowledge. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Experience with healthcare clinic policies and procedures required. Excellent management and leadership skills. Physical Requirements Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Willing to travel to satellite clinics when necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
