TruFusion Steel is growing and hiring experienced professionals for multiple positions within our commercial structural steel division.

We specialize in structural and miscellaneous steel including beams, columns, mezzanines, stairs, canopies, trash enclosures, and full commercial steel packages.

POSITION 1 : Structural Steel Field Foreman (Working Leader)

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Field Foreman who leads from the front. This is not a clipboard-only role. The right candidate runs the crew and works alongside them when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Run and supervise structural steel erection crews
• Read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans
• Lay out columns, grid lines, base plates, and connection locations
• Plan and sequence crane picks efficiently
• Communicate directly with Superintendent and Project Manager
• Identify and solve field conflicts in real time
• Maintain productivity, quality, and jobsite safety
• Perform hands-on work including bolting-up and field welding when required

Requirements:

• 5+ years structural steel erection experience
• Proven experience leading a crew
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to independently interpret structural drawings without supervision
• Strong layout ability and understanding of tolerances
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Preferred:

• AWS D1.1 or LA City welding certification
• FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW field welding experience

Travel:

• Some projects require overnight out-of-town stays
• Per diem provided for qualifying travel work

Compensation (Foreman Position):

• Competitive hourly pay (DOE)

POSITION 2 : Structural Steel Erector / Welder (Field)

Responsibilities:

• Install structural steel on commercial job sites
• Set columns, beams, and connection steel
• Bolt-up and perform field welding
• Work safely at heights
• Coordinate with crane operators and jobsite crews

Requirements:

• Structural steel erection experience required
• AWS D1.1 certification or LA City welding certification preferred
• Strong FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW welding ability
• Experience with rigging and lifts
• Clean driving record required
• Safety-focused and reliable

POSITION 3 : Structural Steel Fabricator (Shop)

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret structural steel drawings
• Layout, cut, fit, and weld beams, columns, HSS, and plate
• Fabricate base plates, shear tabs, clip angles, stiffeners
• Assist with stair and miscellaneous steel fabrication
• Maintain quality and production standards

Requirements:

• Structural steel fabrication experience
• Strong blueprint reading ability
• FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW welding experience
• Accurate layout and fit-up skills
• Dependable and production-minded
