Job Title: Senior Functional Analyst - ServiceNow (SAM/HAM/CMDB/ITOM)
Location: Washington/Wilmington/Philadelphia (REMOTE)
Contract : 6+ months


Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Analyst with strong ServiceNow development and configuration experience to support enterprise asset governance and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining ServiceNow capabilities across SAM, HAM, CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, and AI Control Tower modules.
This role will directly contribute to improving enterprise asset visibility, lifecycle tracking, governance standards, audit readiness, and operational efficiency. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams during PI Planning and Agile delivery cycles to establish a reliable system of record for IT assets and configuration data.


Key Responsibilities

• Configure, develop, and support ServiceNow modules including:
  • Software Asset Management (SAM)
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
  • CMDB
  • ITSM
  • ITOM
  • AI Control Tower
• Install new ServiceNow products, plugins, and platform capabilities as required.
• Design and implement workflows, automation, integrations, and configuration enhancements.
• Improve enterprise asset visibility, ownership tracking, and lifecycle management processes.
• Maintain CMDB accuracy, governance, and relationship integrity across enterprise environments.
• Support ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping initiatives to improve infrastructure visibility.
• Develop and enforce asset governance standards and data quality controls.
• Identify and remediate inconsistent, duplicate, orphaned, or incomplete asset records.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to improve operational maturity.
• Support audit readiness initiatives and ensure compliance with enterprise governance policies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, PI Planning sessions, backlog grooming, and sprint activities within SAFe environments.
• Create technical documentation, process flows, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Strong expertise with:
  • SAM Pro
  • HAM Pro
  • CMDB
  • ITSM
  • ITOM
  • Discovery
  • Service Mapping
• Experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications, workflows, business rules, ACLs, integrations, and scripting.
• Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and asset lifecycle processes.
• Experience improving CMDB governance, asset visibility, and data quality.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit readiness, and governance frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments and participating in PI Planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow SAM/HAM certifications.
• Experience with AI Control Tower or AI governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and enterprise operations environments.
