Senior Software Integration Engineer

Abbott's Diagnostics division seeks a Senior Software Integration Test Engineer to perform integration testing for an automated blood and plasma screening system. The role involves collaborating with development teams throughout the software lifecycle, executing test plans in an Agile environment, and mentoring junior engineers at sites in Illinois or Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration testing throughout the software development lifecycle and validate fixes
• Collaborate with development teams to create and execute integration test plans and scenarios on target instruments
• Complete software integration activities for user stories in an Agile SDLC process
• Conduct exploratory testing and end-to-end system testing incorporating customer workflows
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of software integration testing experience
• Demonstrated leadership in complex system and risk analysis
• Experience with systems and assay development principles
• Understanding of applicable regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with electromechanical systems testing preferred
• Medical device industry and FDA-regulated environment experience a plus

Compensation: $78,000-$156,000 base
