Plasma Center Nurse- EMT-P

Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). Reports to the Plasma Center Manager. Supports plasma center operations including donor eligibility, adverse events, laboratory test review, and communication with donors. Works under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry. Provides center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). How You Will Contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and transportation to emergency care facilities. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues regarding donor safety and eligibility. Support the HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine need for evaluation by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance for employee incidents. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy in state of licensure. Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $24.32–$33.44. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, licenses, and location.
