Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt therapy to a diverse student population, including those with severe and profound needs
• Familiarity with IEPs and collaborative educational planning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working well with teachers, families, and support staff
• Adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining a compassionate, student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students based on their unique needs and IEP goals
• Support students in the public separate setting, helping them develop mobility, motor, and functional skills
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to craft and implement effective treatment plans
• Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Educate staff and families on strategies and equipment to optimize students’ physical independence
• Stay updated with current best practices and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
