Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg Telemetry unit. This role involves providing care to acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients, including those with complex health issues. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medication, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry unit.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Pass Fail EKG exam required by the client.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
