Department Manager – McDonald’s® company-owned and independent Owner‑Operator restaurants are staffed by great people, and right now we’re looking for more of them. If you’re interested, let’s get together. Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Some managers also lead Departments. Their responsibilities may include managing assigned systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks to teams, following up, and reporting results to the team and other managers. Guest Service Department Manager Responsibilities Ensuring crew and managers deliver a great customer experience; executing sales promotions accurately; training service staff in procedures; and organizing the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas for optimal service. Kitchen Department Manager Responsibilities Ensuring the restaurant delivers high‑quality, safe, and timely food; controlling food cost; and training kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items. People Department Manager Responsibilities Hiring qualified crew, training them, and scheduling them to meet sales and profit goals; ensuring crew start well and are recognized and motivated throughout their employment.
