Sports Facility Operations Manager

Role Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of daily facility operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring physical presence on the floor to manage staff, ensure safety compliance, and maintain the facility's physical assets. You will serve as the primary link between local ground operations and the corporate management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the facility, manage alarm systems, and conduct daily safety sweeps of turf and courts.
- Prepare spaces for scheduled rentals and manage rapid turnovers (e.g., reconfiguring fields within tight timeframes).
- Serve as the on-site lead during peak hours, addressing customer concerns, incidents, and injury reports in real time.
- Build and distribute weekly staff schedules (front desk, janitorial, maintenance, field assistants) to ensure proper coverage, including weekends.
- Lead daily/weekly staff huddles to review schedules, events, and VIP needs.
- Act as the first point of escalation for emergencies, customer disputes, and staffing gaps.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with corporate; serve as on-site vendor liaison.
- Manage facility inventory, including cleaning supplies, first aid kits, and operational materials.
- Submit weekly reports to the Director of Facilities on utilities, maintenance expenses, and utilization metrics.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, including cash handling and liability waiver compliance.
- Review upcoming programming and tournaments to align on logistics (parking, equipment, signage) with the corporate events team.
- Partner with the Hiring Manager on staffing reviews, interviews, and onboarding.
- Escalate IT and systems needs to the Corporate Support office.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in management or sports operations.
- 3–5 years of facility or operations management experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000
