Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, development, and testing of complex electromechanical products and mechanisms. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong mechanical design fundamentals who enjoys working from concept through prototype development, performing engineering analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenging design problems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing mechanical components and mechanisms, performing structural and thermal analysis, evaluating tolerances, and supporting prototype builds and testing. This engineer will work closely with internal customers, electrical engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for complex electromechanical products.
\n
• Create and maintain 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and mechanical design documentation using Creo and/or SolidWorks .
\n
• Perform engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), structural analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
\n
• Evaluate mechanical designs for fit, form, function, manufacturability, and performance under applicable operating conditions.
\n
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing, and other engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into larger electromechanical systems.
\n
• Work directly with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve design challenges, and deliver effective engineering solutions.
\n
• Support prototype builds, assembly activities, design verification, and product testing.
\n
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues identified during builds and testing, recommend corrective actions, and implement design improvements.
\n
• Design and develop custom fixtures, tooling, and test hardware to support assembly, integration, and validation activities.
\n
• Review test results and engineering data to verify design performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
\n
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.
\n
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and analysis reports.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
\n
• Experience designing mechanical components, assemblies, or mechanisms for electromechanical products.
\n
• Proficiency with Creo and/or SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
\n
• Experience with FEA and mechanical engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
\n
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into practical mechanical designs.
\n
• Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design verification.
\n
• Experience designing fixtures, tooling, or test equipment.
\n
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, tolerances, and assembly methods.
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
