We are one of Greater Boston’s fastest-growing music schools, seeking an engaging Music Teacher to inspire students ages 4–18 through private instruction, small group classes, performance ensembles, and RockBands. Whether your specialty is guitar, piano, drums, voice, bass, ukulele, or multiple instruments, you’ll help young musicians build confidence, develop strong skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of music in a fun, supportive, and high-energy community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum through private instruction, small group classes, performance ensembles, and RockBands.
• Develop students’ musical skills through age-appropriate instruction and practice.
• Motivate students with a positive, energetic, and encouraging teaching style.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
• Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities.
• Manage classroom activities and maintain an engaging learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents about student progress.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of music educators.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience providing music instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a music or music education program.
• Instrumental performance experience.
• Knowledge of music theory and lesson planning.
• Understanding of child development and classroom management.
• Experience with performance coaching.
• Strong parent communication and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and student motivation skills.
