Senior Respiratory Therapist - Tester - FT - Day Shift

Senior Respiratory Therapist – Full Time, Day Shift St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center invites experienced respiratory professionals to join our team as a Senior Respiratory Therapist. In this role you will perform core Respiratory Therapist responsibilities and a wide range of specialized cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, ensuring safe, accurate testing and high‑quality patient care. What You’ll Do Support direct patient care and specialized diagnostic testing. Ensure accurate procedures, monitor patient safety, and help maintain seamless departmental operations. Complete diagnostic procedures—including Stress Tests, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), EEGs, EKGs, Holter Monitoring, Pentamidine treatments, and more. Ensure proper electrode placement and accurate performance of EEG, EKG, Stress Testing, and Holter studies. Assess and monitor patient condition and recognize potentially critical situations during testing. Perform full PFT testing including Pre/Post bronchodilator, DLCO, Plethysmography, and Slow Vital Capacity. Conduct advanced testing such as Histamine/Methacholine Challenge and Nitrogen Washout. Set up and download Holter monitors. Deliver safe, accurate respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary difficulties. Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Training Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree minimum). Current Oklahoma RCP license or provisional letter (valid until Board meeting date listed). NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and maintained. BLS required until ACLS obtained. ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire; annual recertification required. SECURE training required within six months of hire. NRP preferred. Experience & Skills 1–3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Typing and basic computer skills required.
