This position works under the direction of senior network engineers and IT leadership to ensure the availability, security, and performance of wired, wireless, voice, and physical security systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with Fortinet products, network troubleshooting, and enterprise networking fundamentals. This position provides operational support for campus network services, security platforms, Zoom Phone, and Verkada security systems. This position may require occasional evening, weekend, and emergency maintenance work to support critical infrastructure upgrades and incident response activities. Key Responsibilities 35% Network Infrastructure Support Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet network and security solutions. Support and maintain FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, FortiEMS, and FortiPAM. Assist with network deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Monitor network performance and respond to alerts and incidents. Troubleshoot Layer 1 through Layer 7 connectivity, performance, and security issues across wired, wireless, voice, and application environments. Support VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and wireless networking. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. 20% Security Operations Assist with firewall policy management and security monitoring. Monitor security events using FortiAnalyzer and other security tools. Support endpoint security and Zero Trust initiatives through FortiEMS and FortiNAC.
