A subsidiary of Havas—one of the world's largest global communications groups. The Social Media Assistant role is designed for those new to working in social media. The role supports a team on assigned clients' social media design and strategy to ensure they align with business goals. The program is designed for those interested in a career in Social Media. The program is a full-time, 4-month-long position with the opportunity for extension and advancement within the company. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm. Compensation is $22.00 per hour, overtime eligible.Only Current NY Candidates Will Be ConsideredCandidates must have already obtained a Bachelor's degree. Social Media Assistants are full-time and the programs run throughout the year (this is not a summer internship)ResponsibilitiesSupports the account team with executing social media strategyMaintains social communities and assists in the execution of social ad strategyHelps manage the social media communities and engages with customers through all digital outlets with an understanding of timeliness, speed, and trendsWorks with the team to coordinate the creation of content for each client on timeMaintains the social calendarContributes to the traffic and policing of scheduled posts to meet deadlinesHelps to establish metrics and goals for tracking social media reach and impact with regular reporting and analysis on insights, using various analytics tools and platformsMonitors industry trends and stays on top of the latest innovations and data trendsResearches ways to improve social media platforms and integrationResearches the brand, voice, and tone of each client's businessUnderstands client objectives and prioritiesTeam ManagementWorks seamlessly with the team to bring content and creative strategy to life (this may include reviewing copy to ensure strategic alignment and creative elevation)Agency ContributionsContributes positively to the culture, atmosphere, and values, and exudes a positive outlook on their teamEstablishes professional and respectful employee relationships within the division and agencyQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in a digital, social, or multimedia-related discipline preferred.Skills & Abilities: Understanding, or a desire to, of social media best practices, channels, analytics, and platformsStrong listening and verbal communications skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • Goal-oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning resultsResults-driven, resourceful, and solutions-focusedSelf-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually.Can meet tight deadlines and has an exceptional eye for detailHere at Havas across the group we pride ourselves on being committed to offering equal opportunities to all potential employees and have zero tolerance for discrimination.
