BREAKFAST MONITOR VACANCY - Maple Place School

The Oceanport Board of Education has two Breakfast Monitor positions available for the 26-27 school year.


Rate: Stipend of $4,590 (based on $51/hr) to be paid out in December and June to each position. These positions may be split among multiple staff members, if needed.


Schedule: 30 minutes per day, Monday through Friday, times to be determined.

Job Requirements:

• Opens doors to allow students to enter for breakfast;
• Actively supervises students (Grades 5-8) in the cafeteria;
• Maintains a safe and orderly environment;
• Circulates among assigned tables during mealtime to assist students and resolve minor issues as they arise;
• Remains alert at all times to students and their needs;
• Ensures the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas;
• Reports serious student discipline infractions or any breach of security procedures to the School Principal.;
• Reports medical problems and injuries immediately to the school nurse, Principal, or designee;
• Organizes the orderly dismissal of students from the cafeteria; and
• Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent, or designee.
• Absences: Up to 5 absences permitted without loss of stipend amount; after 5 absences the cost of substitute will be deducted from stipend.
