Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: ICU background experience managing critically ill patients Description: The unit is approved for travelers. It consists of 12 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, and 3:1 with downgraded patients. There is 1 Unit Secretary available for the critical care area. The type of equipment includes monitored rooms (private), Alaris IV pumps, and respiratory ventilators. Documentation is done using a specific electronic medical record system. Scheduling requires the position title and every other weekend. Floating is voluntary based on expertise in the area. Patient experience requirements include management of cardiac, respiratory, DKA, and sepsis patients. Advanced skills needed include performing vital signs, A-Line monitoring, insulin drips, sedative drips, and vasopressor drips. The dress code requires navy blue nurse scrubs. The unit follows specific guidelines and policies. The facility has a caring and compassionate culture. Management is supportive and treatment towards patients and families is prioritized.
