Overview Location: Butte, Montana Company: Harrington Restaurant Supply Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and technical expertise FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Union Join Our Team Harrington Restaurant Supply is hiring a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to support customers throughout Montana. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined professional with experience in restaurant equipment repair, refrigeration service, appliance troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance . This field-based position is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service. As a member of our service team, you will help restaurants, institutions, and foodservice operations minimize downtime by maintaining and repairing essential commercial kitchen equipment. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will inspect, diagnose, service, and repair a variety of commercial foodservice and refrigeration equipment , including: Commercial ovens, ranges, grills, and broilers Fryers, steamers, and pressure cookers Commercial dishwashing systems Refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, and walk-in freezers Gas and electric cooking equipment Hot-side and cold-side restaurant equipment Additional responsibilities include: Performing preventive maintenance and scheduled service inspections Installing and commissioning new equipment Troubleshooting electrical, gas, mechanical, and refrigeration systems Reading wiring diagrams, service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation Testing equipment to verify safe and efficient operation Identifying required replacement parts and coordinating orders Maintaining accurate service reports, work orders, and maintenance records Communicating repair recommendations, timelines, and equipment status with customers Following safety procedures and company service standards Travel Requirements This position is primarily a field service technician role with travel throughout Montana. Candidates should be comfortable driving to customer locations and may occasionally be required to stay overnight for service calls outside the local area. Work Environment Technicians regularly work in commercial kitchens, restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, and other foodservice environments.
