Job Title: Senior Quality Management Test Analyst

Duration: 12+ Months

Start Date: Aug 2026

Location: West Sacramento, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Description:

California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Own End-to-End Testing Activities
• Translate business and technical requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and scripts
• Perform:
• System Testing
• Integration Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Regression Testing
• Validate application functionality and performance across releases
• Lead QA Best Practices
• Help define and improve test strategy, test frameworks, and QA standards
• Introduce new tools or automation approaches to increase testing efficiency
• Ensure consistency and quality across multiple projects
• Test Data & Tools
• Set up and manage test environments and test data
• Work with tools such as:
• Jira, Jama, Azure DevOps
• Selenium, Robot Framework (nice to have)
• Defect Tracking & Reporting
• Log, track, and analyze defects
• Produce clear test reports, dashboards, and metrics
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders
• Collaborate with Teams
• Work closely with developers, business teams, and project managers
• Participate in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments
• Provide input on requirements, design, and quality improvement

Required Experience

• 10+ years in IT , with strong focus on QA/testing
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
• Test planning and strategy development
• Requirements analysis → test case creation
• Test environment setup and test data preparation
• Defect tracking tools (Jira, Jama, ALM, etc.)
• Testing COTS, SaaS, and custom applications
• Strong understanding of full SDLC (Agile/Waterfall)
• Ability to analyze test results and clearly report findings

Nice to Have

• Experience in large enterprise or government environments
• Exposure to financial, pension, or public sector systems
• SQL/database querying skills
• Automation testing experience
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (SAP, ECM, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
