Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including a 3-bed Step Down ICU and 12-bed telemetry unit
• Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar testing and related patient assessments
• Utilize unit equipment including Meditech charting, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Ability to work day shifts with an expected schedule of 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care and telemetry experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Current PALS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
