Registered Nurse- Adult Health (Float Pool)The Float Pool Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care utilizing the nursing process. The Float Pool RN provides safe, quality nursing care across multiple departments and campuses as assigned based on organizational staffing and patient care needs. This position requires floating to Halifax Medical Center Daytona, Halifax Medical Center Port Orange, and Halifax Medical Center Deltona as operational needs dictate.Job Qualifications:Degree from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferredActive Registered Nurse RN LicenseEligible to work in the State of FloridaMinimum of three (3) years of recent acute care nursing experience required.Skills, Experience, Licensure:Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationActive NIH Stroke Scale certificationAbility to work independently in a variety of patient care settings.Completion of orientation, competencies, certifications, and annual CBL requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Assess, plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates patient care.Recognizes and responds appropriately to changes in patient condition.Develops individualized plans of care and patient education plans.Administers medications and treatments according to policy.Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.Directs and delegates care to LPNs, CNAs, Patient Care Companions, and Unit Clerks.Serves as a patient advocate and provides compassionate nursing care.Accepts assignments across all designated Halifax Health campuses and units based on competencies and operational needs.Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when assigned to different units and populations.Maintains competencies required for assigned clinical areas.Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.Maintains confidentiality and adheres to legal and ethical standards.
