As a Senior Consultant within US Corporate Development, you will help evaluate and advance Deloitte’s most strategic investment priorities. You will lead and support complex initiatives across the investment lifecycle — from market assessment and opportunity evaluation to business case development and executive-level recommendations. Work you'll do As a Senior Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation on the US Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for: Developing growth strategies and applying market assessment frameworks to evaluate priority growth areas and shape the acquisition priorities and target pipelineApplying hypothesis-driven problem solving and structured thinking to frame ambiguous strategic questions and drive to clear recommendations Quickly building fluency in new markets and emerging technologies, and translating findings into business value, risk, and investment implicationsConducting qualitative and quantitative analyses through market research to inform acquisition target identification, pipeline development, and investment prioritizationSourcing and screening potential acquisition targets aligned to Deloitte's priority growth areasBuilding executive-level presentations with advanced PowerPoint and storyboarding to communicate findings to senior stakeholdersSupporting development of strategic rationale, investment theses, business cases, financial models, and executive-level recommendations for potential acquisitionsManaging due diligence workstreams across financial, operational, commercial, technology, and human resources stakeholders, and synthesizing findings into executive-level materialsPlanning and supporting post-close integration activities, including integration roadmap development, synergy tracking, governance structures, project plans, and milestone trackingStaying intellectually curious across the full scope of the M&A process and the broader strategy work of the teamWorking in an agile environment where you adjust quickly and seamlessly to the latest business priorities as the firm's needs evolve A successful candidate would possess these skills: Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment The Team This position is part of Deloitte’s US Corporate Development (USCD) function. USCD plays a critical role in shaping Deloitte’s future by driving the firm’s inorganic and organic growth agenda. The team partners with senior leaders across the firm to evaluate, prioritize, and execute strategic investments that strengthen Deloitte’s market position and long-term growth trajectory. USCD operates at the center of strategy, investment execution, and enterprise transformation. Team members work in a high-impact, high-visibility environment, supporting some of the firm’s most significant and complex growth initiatives. In this role, you’ll join a cohort of Consultants/Senior Consultants for USCD. As part of this dynamic resourcing pool, you’ll be deployed to high priority initiatives and projects across the Corporate Development ecosystem, helping the team adapt to evolving market needs and prioritize the most important areas for the firm. This is an internal, non-client-facing role with limited travel as needed for business meetings. The team operates in a remote environment, with flexibility to work from home or a local Deloitte office. QualificationsRequired: Bachelor’s degree4+ years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory, or private equity2+ years of experience conducting market research, target screening, and business case development for acquisitions or strategic investments2+ years of experience building financial models in Microsoft Excel and developing executive-level presentations in Microsoft PowerPointAbility to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Master of Business AdministrationExperience supporting acquisitions across the investment lifecycle, from target evaluation through integrationExperience in the professional services industryExperience developing synergy models and value creation assumptionsExperience managing due diligence or post-close integration workstreams across cross-functional stakeholdersExperience preparing materials for senior executive or board-level stakeholders The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93000 to $171300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
