Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital, requiring strong neuro/spine surgical experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level I and Level II trauma teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Cerner charting system preferred but not required
• Mandatory floating to other units as assigned, including as a Patient Observer/Sitter
• On-call responsibilities required
• Rotating shifts, including holidays and during inclement weather, may be required

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level I and Level II trauma experience required
• Strong neuro/spine surgical experience required
• Experience with a range of surgical specialties including vascular, neurology, orthopedic, robotics, ENT, and surgical oncology procedures
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Ability to work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with routine contact with contagious illnesses

Additional Information

• Provide direct surgical support across a wide range of specialties including vascular, neurology, orthopedic, robotic, ENT, and oncologic procedures
• Facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
• Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates residing 51-74 miles from the facility may be considered at a local rate
• Re-orientation not required for returning travelers within 18 months of a previous assignment
