Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper

Responsibilities Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a fully licensed, 182-bed, private hospital that specializes in the treatment of drug addiction, mental health issues and co-occurring disorders for adults and adolescents. Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health's mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive behavioral health care services. This commitment extends to the family and community of our patients as a whole. Our overall goal is to deliver the highest quality treatment for drug abuse and mental health issues possible to help our patients achieve long-term sobriety.

This individual is responsible for daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping duties, preferably in a health care facility.
• Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of basic housekeeping duties Knowledge of all code procedures Knowledge of risk and safety precautions Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures Effective oral and written communication skills Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
