Position Overview:

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Delta Medical Transport, you will play a crucial role in providing prompt and efficient emergency medical care to patients during transport. You will work closely with our crew to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients as needed.
• Assess patient condition and provide appropriate medical treatment and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Safely lift and transport patients on stretchers, ensuring proper securing and comfort during transit.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation, including patient assessment findings, treatment provided, and transport destination.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare facilities, emergency personnel, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and supplies.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in emergency medical care.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
