Job Summary The Food Server is responsible for creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, taking food & beverage orders as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Job Duties Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating. Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant. Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management. Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary. Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach. Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment. Ensure table side food service and quality presentation. Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations. Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age. Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return. Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages. Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests. Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues. Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing. Work as a team, assisting all guests’ needs and inquiries. Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied. Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known and encourage them to return. Other duties as assigned Education and Experience 2+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred. Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read, write & speak fluent English. Physical Requirements Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems. Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
