Light Industrial - Maintenance Technician II

Job Title

Position ensures that the facilities are kept in good repair and working order. Responsibilities include serving as an electrician, plumber, and carpenter in repairing and maintaining various systems and structures. The role also involves operating various tools and machinery, maintaining tools and machinery, and performing minor repairs to air conditioning systems. The individual must provide follow-up on quality control issues and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience: More than 5 years experience in general building maintenance

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Good general physical condition
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to stand and work for long periods of time
• Frequent walking and/or standing

Knowledge:

• General knowledge of various types of equipment used in the building trades
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and air conditioning equipment and codes

Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations following instructions of a supervisor
• Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions
• Ability to follow instructions, given either orally or in writing
