Job TitlePay: $15.49Hours: Monday-Friday, 7AM-3PMEssential Job Functions:Perform depalletizer changeoversVerify sorting accuracyVisually check quality of tin plate sheets and endsCoordinate with Forklift drivers about sortable/non sortable endsMaintain HFI areaFix random tag issues. Voids, held by mistakes, hold for inspection, etcOperate the depalletizer (sorting machine)Assist Quality Manager daily as necessaryAssist Production Supervisor daily as necessarySort plain and coated tinplate sheets as requiredPackage bundles of tinplate sheets as required for transporting after sortingMaintain detailed daily records of all sorting activitiesMove tinplate bundles around facility as required utilizing forklift truckResponsible for housekeeping of sort area workspace and as assigned in other plant areasPerform sorting work for other shifts as neededAssist in the Coil, Coater and Shipping departments as directed by supervisionPrepare all sorted sheets (identified as scrap) for outside shipmentJob Requirements:Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and ExcelPossess excellent oral and written communication skillsMust have excellent time-management skillsExperience/Education:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred requirements:Previous experience in a manufacturing facilityPhysical Requirements:Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended period, while running machinery up to 12 hoursMust possess adequate upper body strength to repeatedly pull or push hand tools in order to make, repair, or adjust parts and/or machinesAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to be in constant motion about 50-70 percent of shiftsSilgan is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
