Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in San Marcos, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - OR /n/n Job Details: /n • Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM /n• One weekend per month call requirement, approximately 7 days per month /n• Provide routine and complex nursing care in the operating room setting /n• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant clinical aspects /n• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation /n• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families /n• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols /n• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments /n• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided /n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers /n• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers /n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred /n• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred /n• BLS certification required (AHA only) /n• RN License in state of Texas or compact required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital system that provides a wide range of medical services to the community.
