Janitor

Job Title: Janitor Job Purpose: A Janitor performs tasks that keep the building in good shape and ensures everything runs smoothly, from dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors. They also make sure restrooms and common areas stay fresh by performing routine inspections every day. Reports To: Safety, Facilities, & Grounds Manager Location: On-site at corporate headquarters in Monticello, IN Department: Global Operations Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures spaces are prepared for the day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces - daily. Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets - Daily Washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks and restocking disposables - Daily. Wipe mirrors - daily Clean break, Kitchen area and sweep floors-Daily. Mop Production break areas -2 times a week Clean bathrooms in production area - Daily Takes trash out of Shipping and Receiving offices only does not sweep, mop, or dust. Cleans Kitchen upstairs once a week. Takes trash out upstairs Daily. Clean front door windows - Daily Clean/wash glass cubicles in front office area - Weekly Order supplies as needed. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent Experience None Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proven experience as Cleaner, Janitor, or Custodian Knowledge of cleaning equipment Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous cleaning components Attention to detail and conscientiousness. Good physical condition Working Conditions Environment Position is located in an office setting and factory setting. Essential physical requirements Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting throughout the day Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds at once.
