- You will develop training and safety programs in accordance with various regulatory agencies (e.g., Department of Defense, Occupational Health and Safety Administration, National Fire Protection Association).
- You will oversee firefighting training areas (e.g., live fire, mobile or fixed training devices inspections, testing, certification and maintenance programs) for an organization.
- You will deliver fire training to inform of daily operations and the use of fire equipment.
- You will verify personnel use the correct personal protection equipment during firefighting incidents to ensure safety.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications For GS -11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing training and safety programs in accordance with regulatory agencies; 2) Managing the development and implementation of emergency medical services, Structural firefighting, Hazardous Material Response and Confined Space Rescue training plans; 3) Conducting course research, providing quality assurance for training requirements; and 4) Completing written reports of program effectiveness, training academics, and study outcomes in order provide recommendations. For GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing training and safety programs in accordance with regulatory agencies; 2) Managing the development and implementation of emergency medical services training plan; 3) Conducting course research, providing quality assurance, and maintaining budgetary controls for all training requirements; and 4) Completing written reports of program effectiveness, training academics, and study outcomes in order provide recommendations. In addition, this position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: 1) Firefighter I/II; 2) HazMat Awareness; 3) HazMat Operations; 4) HazMat Incident Commander; 5) Driver Operator Pumper; 6) Fire Officer I/II, 7) Fire Inspector I, 8) Fire Instructor I/II; These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. 9) Also, State or National Registry EMT; NOTE: If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible
