Industrial Pallet Rebuilder (Recycling Operations)

Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Overtime Available

A Day in the Life

You clock in, gear up with the required PPE, and review the day’s goals with your crew. Trailers of used pallets arrive—some need a quick fix, others a full rebuild, and a few are ready to be dismantled for parts. You triage pallets, then move to your bench.

With nail gun, hammer, and saw at the ready, you replace broken deck boards and stringers, square up frames, and bring each pallet back to spec. Finished stacks are sorted by size and condition, quality-checked for safety, and staged for outbound. Between runs, you keep your station clean and organized, help teammates hit production targets, and handle other tasks as directed by your supervisor.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect incoming wooden pallets; decide to reuse, repair, or dismantle for components.
• Repair and build pallets to established production and quality standards.
• Use hand and power tools (nail guns, hammers, saws, and related equipment).
• Sort pallets by size, condition, and repair route; stack and move product around the yard and production floor.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repaired pallets are safe and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow safety procedures and required PPE.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily output goals; complete other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Background in pallet repair, construction, carpentry, warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor is a plus.
• Comfort using hand and power tools.
• Commitment to safe work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and the ability to work independently or on a team.
• Basic measurement recognition and familiarity with pallet sizes and product specs.
• Eagerness to learn pallet repair and production processes.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the duration of the shift.
• Repeatedly handle and move wooden pallets and lumber.
• Lift, push, and pull heavy materials using proper technique; team lift when needed.
• Work outdoors or in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
