Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Electric Hydrogen's Digital Team, where you will develop mission-critical software that powers the world's most powerful electrolyzers. In this role, you will build and maintain software systems that collect, transform, and deliver industrial data from our R&D labs, manufacturing facilities, and hydrogen plants. Your work will directly support plant operators, scientists, executives, and field service teams by providing the tools and data needed to optimize performance, accelerate product development, and improve operational efficiency.This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that support Electric Hydrogen's digital platformOwn projects from prioritization and requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenanceDevelop and enhance industrial telemetry pipelines that ingest plant data from Ignition SCADA systems into cloud-based platformsBuild and maintain a centralized data lake that consolidates information from multiple data sources for analysis and reportingDevelop and support Python- and SQL-based data analysis tools used by engineering, operations, and business stakeholdersDesign, develop, and maintain customer-facing and internal full-stack web applications using modern web technologiesDevelop software integrations that improve manufacturing systems and operational workflowsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring and alerting systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, field service, and leadership to deliver high-impact software solutionsParticipate in architectural discussions and help define the technical direction for new systems and featuresParticipate in an on-call incident response rotationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceSignificant professional software development experience building web applications, data platforms, or data pipelinesStrong proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, React, and TypeScriptStrong Python programming skills with experience using data analysis libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, or similar frameworksExperience designing, building, and consuming REST APIsExperience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with AWS cloud services and an understanding of cloud architecture design tradeoffsDemonstrated ability to contribute to software architecture and technical decision-makingExperience with industrial telemetry, IoT, SCADA systems, or industrial automation is preferredExperience developing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring solutionsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholdersWillingness to participate in an on-call support rotation#LI-HybridCompensation and Benefits | P4 San Jose Zone$182,000—$226,000 USDActual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
