As a Political Producer, you'll serve as the heart of a strong brand. You'll lead the charge on driving political news coverage and determining the most important stories of the day. You'll collaborate with your colleagues to tell the news that matters in your community and around the country, making decisions about what to air and when, and how to keep our audience informed on key issues impacting the state.

Required Quali?cations

Experience

Television news - 2+ years

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

Technical Skills

Knowledge of social media platforms and basic editing skills (Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro)

Skills

Go-getter personality, and excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

Travel Ability

Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community

Schedule

Ability to work di4erent shifts and be ?exible with schedule changes

Preferred Quali?cations

• Working knowledge of general o4ice computer software, newsroom software, and basic non-linear editing systems
• May be required to lift up to ?ve pounds

Working Conditions

• Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned ?eld duties on occasion
• Semi-noisy newsroom setting
