We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position for an Assistant Director of Facility Services. This is a full-time position at Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule for this position is Monday- Friday, 8a-4p. The salary for this position is $70,000- $75,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.

The Assistant Director of Facility Services will oversee Facility Services for all Marklund sites, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while promoting high-quality services for residents, students, and clients. They will serve as the company Safety Officer, overseeing the Safety Committee and assisting the Director or Facility Services as the organization's representative on construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the Director of Facilities in all organization buildings and sites.
• Chair the Safety Committee with input from the Risk Management Committee.
• Maintain current knowledge of IDPH, Life Safety Code, local, state, and federal fire codes, DHS regulations, ISBE regulations and interpretive guidelines.
• Implement new regulations, interpretive guidelines and corrective action plans related to cited deficiencies.

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Experience and Skills

• 3 years of previous manager experience.
• Healthcare Facility experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDPH/DHS regulations and building operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• HVAC certification.
