Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part Time 3pm to 11pm Position: Part‑time Technical – The Villages, FL, US Watercrest Buena Vista is hiring a Wellness Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse. Bring your quality skillset and bedside manner to the table as you work in partnership with the Resident Care team. Together, you will provide direct and indirect care to residents in a sensitive, professional, and effective manner. Essential Job Functions Servant Leadership directs all aspects of decision making Serves as the “Charge Nurse” for assigned shift ensuring residents are well cared for Serves as the “Charge Nurse” in the absence of the Executive Director and Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing Contributes to all aspects of medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation and compliance with State Regulations, Company policy and procedure Assure resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe at all times Ensure resident care specialists are familiar with residents’ individual conditions and trained to provide services effectively, professionally and sensitively Assist residents with self‑medication or administration of medications Responsible for daily nursing license recommendations and documentation (if applicable) Implement plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing Implement changes in condition plans Provide accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residents Maintain resident charting and records Complete accident and incident reports as required Maintain relationships with residents, family members and responsible parties Be prepared for and manage emergency situations including disasters, fire and other emergencies Ensure adequate and appropriately trained resident care specialists are available for each shift within company and state guidelines Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contacts Make independent decisions Communicate in a warm, friendly and caring manner Adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Passion to work with and around senior citizens Knowledge of customer service principles and practices Education Requirements LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license Experience Preferences Minimum 1 year in senior living, assisted living or memory care environment Physical Requirements Stand or walk 75% of the day Concentrate with frequent interruptions Work under stress and in emergency situations Perform sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping as needed Talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds Occupational Exposure / Personal Protective Equipment Work in all areas of the community Potential exposure to dust, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, infectious waste, diseases and other conditions Use personal protective equipment and supplies to prevent burns, falls and infection Item includes infection control kit, rubber gloves, masks and non‑slip shoes Subject to infectious diseases, substances and odors #J-18808-Ljbffr
