Senior Landman
We are seeking an experienced Senior Landman to support drilling operations, commercial negotiations, and land management activities in East Texas. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to secure drill-ready acreage, negotiate key agreements, and drive successful field development initiatives.
️Key Responsibilities:
- Manage land-related activities supporting active drilling and development program
- Review title information, abstracts, and title opinions to ensure drill site clearance
- Negotiate and prepare agreements including JOAs, farmouts, trades, assignments, pooling declarations, and other operational contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders
- Evaluate land, acquisition, and development opportunities within assigned areas
- Mentor junior land professionals and support team development
- Collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives
What You Need:
- 10+ years of in-house land experience within the oil and gas industry
- Bachelor's degree in Energy or Business
- Strong experience with title review, contract negotiation, and drill site clearance
- East Texas experience and knowledge of cross-unit development highly preferred
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Experience with Enverus and/or ArcGIS – Highly preferred
