Activities Assistant – Full Time

Schedule: Full Time

Cedar Haven Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Lebanon, PA. This role supports the Activities Director in planning and delivering engaging programs that enhance the emotional, social, recreational, and overall well-being of our residents.

• Assist with individual and group activities under the direction of the Activities Director

• Encourage resident participation in activities that promote independence, creativity, and quality of life

• Support residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote

• Escort residents to scheduled activities and assist with participation as needed

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress

• Assist with mail delivery, flower and plant care, pet/fish care, and preparation of the monthly newsletter

• Support fundraising efforts and make announcements over the PA system as needed

• Prepare, distribute, and supervise the use of craft supplies, materials, and equipment

• Help implement programs that provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and social interaction

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age
