Certified Nursing AssistantThis position is located in Marble Hill, MO. A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to residents with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Here, our support doesn't clock out when you do.Benefits You May Be Eligible ForPaid Time OffHealth benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, critical illness, employee assistance program)401(k)Flexible SchedulingHoliday pay incentivesTraining and tuition reimbursementBereavement leaveResponsibilities and DutiesProvides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.Assists resident with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provides assistance as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly.Assists with weighing residents according to facility policy, and records weight in designated locations. Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor.Assists with tracking the condition of the resident's skin. Reports any presence of pressure areas, skin breakdown or skin tears to nurse and supervisor.Assists nursing staff in carrying out toileting program activities.Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that the specified task was done. Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor.Keeps nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform the work as assigned (i.e., resident refusal, reassigned to nursing unit).Reports changes in a resident's condition to the resident's nurse and supervisor.RequirementsQualifications and SkillsCertified Nursing Aide in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state-approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment REQUIREDHigh School Graduate/GED preferred.Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care preferred.Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.Join Our Caregiver Family!For more than 50 years, our family has been dedicated to caring for others, and we invite you to reach out with any questions or comments.
