The Opportunity Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an international law firm with over 1000 attorneys, has an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Staff Attorney (ERISA) with 3 or more years of increasingly responsible experience in employment, commercial or insurance litigation. Candidates should have familiarity with federal court practice. Extensive writing experience as well as the ability to handle a high-volume practice that includes file review, preparing case analysis memoranda, pleadings, attending routine court hearings, attending mediation or conciliation meetings, and negotiating settlement agreements is required. The Day-To-Day As a Staff Attorney in the Labor & Employment Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. You Have 3+ years of increasingly responsible experience in employment, commercial or insurance litigation Familiarity with federal court practice Extensive writing experience as well as the ability to handle a high-volume practice that includes file review, preparing case analysis memoranda, pleadings, attending routine court hearings, attending mediation or conciliation meetings, and negotiating settlement agreements Excellent academic credentials and solid work ethic Success in this role is measured by caseload management and work quality, not by billable hours An active bar license in the state in which you will reside and one in which Seyfarth maintains an office. The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $140,000. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
