Garde Manger

Start Date: Mid-November, 2026

Epilogue is a new fiction bookstore and wine bar opening in early December 2026, designed to be Natick’s newest “third place,” a welcoming spot for people to socialize, linger, and foster community.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conservas, charcuterie, cheese, salads, spreads, garnishes, and composed cold dishes according to the menu and recipes, plating with precision and consistency.
• Maintain prep levels.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures, keeping cold storage and prep stations clean and organized.
• Receive, label, rotate and store product, communicating shortages and ordering needs.
• Work with the front-of-house to keep service moving.
• Open and close the kitchen.
• Contribute to specials and seasonal items, developed collaboratively.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as Garde Manger or the equivalent.
• Strong knife skills and fundamental culinary techniques.
• Ability to manage a station through service without direct supervision.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

• $25-$30/ hour based on experience
• 30% discounts on all books, merchandise, and food menu items.
