Job Description Company Overview AHRC New York City is one of the largest providers of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities in New York City. The organization continues to meet the needs of its individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a wide range of programs, services, and support tailored to their specific needs. Position Overview AHRC New York City seeks a Psychometrician to work in the agency’s Department of Family and Clinical Services. The Department operates two primary outpatient clinics in Manhattan and the Bronx and provides services at satellite locations and via telehealth within the five boroughs. Our team comprises psychologists, social workers, and rehabilitation services professionals who are passionate about their work. The Psychometrician will conduct psychological testing, interpret results, and prepare psychological reports for the developmental disabilities population. A Doctoral‑Level Licensed Psychologist will supervise these activities. Psychological testing is conducted to identify the nature and extent of an individual’s developmental disability, often to determine eligibility for services or admission to a specific program. A variety of tests—including the Wechsler tests, Stanford‑Binet, Vineland, and autism assessment tools—are used. From these tools the psychologist prepares a summation and interpretation of results in the form of a psychological report. Position hours are highly flexible (daytime, evening, and weekends available). Location is flexible (within the five boroughs). Per‑Evaluation Rate: $175. Qualifications Graduate Degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology Graduate coursework in intelligence testing and psychological testing Strong ability to prepare psychological reports in a timely fashion Ability to work independently under supervision Excellent communication and clinical writing skills Experience with DD and autism population (preferred but not required) Bilingual (preferred but not required) NYS Driver’s license (not required) Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) ARE NOT QUALIFIED FOR THIS POSITION!
