Your Role as the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide high-quality, resident-centered care in a safe, home-like environment. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on residents' comfort, dignity, and quality of life by assisting with daily living activities and providing both physical and emotional support.SummaryThe Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct personal care and support to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, state regulations, and Americare standards. This role works as part of an interdisciplinary care team to ensure residents feel safe, respected, and well cared for each day.This role may also be known as:Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Resident Care Assistant, or Caregiver.What You'll DoProvide direct physical and emotional care to residents, including personal hygiene, transferring, and liftingAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility and meal supportAccurately observe, document, and report resident care, conditions, and concernsCommunicate effectively with staff during shift handoffsFollow resident care plans and support a safe, respectful living environmentPerform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areasGreet visitors, answer phone calls, and assist with tours as neededMaintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirementsWhat You BringQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentActive Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification requiredSkills & AbilitiesCompassionate, resident-focused approach to careAbility to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary teamStrong communication and observation skillsProfessionalism, dependability, and attention to detailPhysical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.Safety RequirementsFollow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when requiredUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role is performed in an indoor healthcare environment with appropriate lighting and ventilation.
