Our housing maintenance technician provides maintenance for employee housing while ensuring compliance with state rules and regulations.You will:Inspect multiple housing units following a comprehensive facility maintenance checklist; perform preventative maintenance repairsRespond to maintenance work orders; troubleshoot and perform minor electrical, carpentry, and plumbing servicesCollaborate with tenants to review and resolve open maintenance issuesMaintain communication with dispatch; report steps taken for work order resolutionRespond to corporate project requests; resolve issues and report findings to supervisorsCommunicate with multiple teams and management on a weekly or monthly basis to ensure compliance and consistency regarding housing projectsAdvise managers of maintenance concerns and ensure creation of work order requestsUtilize various computer systems to track and report maintenance requestsParticipate in company sponsored safety training classesMaintain own technical knowledge on all equipment within area of responsibilityModel behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresQualificationsYou have:High school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredTrade or vocational school preferredValid state driver's license and clean driving record requiredMinimum five years' preventive or apartment maintenance experience requiredPrior experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems preferredBasic Microsoft Office skillsBasic understanding of construction practices including plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electricalIntermediate mathematical skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate and work both on a team or independently with minimal supervisionExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with tenantsStrong attention to detailThis position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorshipYou can:Travel up to 85%; varies by regionClimb laddersLift up to 50 poundsWork with electric and plumbing systemsAble to use hand toolsExposure to a variety of weather conditions and temperaturesAble to bend, stoop, twist, crawlAble to work evenings and odd hours as needed for emergency after-hours callsAdditional InformationNation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/VisionFlexible Spending AccountsWeekly pay401K matchTuition AssistanceAdoption AssistancePTOFuel Discount
