Echocardiogram Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with one weekend day required per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in performing adult echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Definity Contrast and possess a thorough understanding of cardiac diagnoses, including shortness of breath and chest pain.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Utilize Definity Contrast for diagnostic imaging.
• Diagnose cardiac conditions including SOB and chest pain.
• Conduct bubble studies and use contrast agents as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in echocardiography.
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at the time of submission.
• ARDMS RDCS AE certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Philips imaging systems is necessary.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
