Job Location: Reston, VA Duration: 8 Months

Duties

Asset Management:

• Maintain network hardware inventories, and assets list (CMDB, Excel....)
• Receive, install - rack stack, cable, configure of network equipment according to Sanofi standards
• Manage decommissions, disposals and transfers or network hardware
• Network cable and fiber management for circuit installation
• Network hardware checks and reboots (including on-demand)
• Manage network-related assets and connections.

Facility Management & Access Control:

• Serve as a network local contact for both data centers (Reston & Ashburn), and for sites: Washington DC, Bethesda, and Rockville.
• Escort telecom technicians for network services and hardware repair
• Off-hours presence in case of incident management and or maintenance

Network Services Support:

• Support administration, implementation and incident management of network services & infrastructure
• Install components into production
• Performs equipment IQs Create and maintain support documents (Knowledgebase, operational..)
• Perform operational changes and routine maintenance in line with existing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and telecom provider to deliver services in the datacenter

Skills:

• Daily support of the wide area network and data center networking including switches and routers
• Participate in capacity planning and monitoring.
• Hardware and software lifecycle management.
• Proactive network infrastructure support during and after business hours.
• Work with internal product owners and third party vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis reviews.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching to, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 and other Cisco IOS platforms
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, DNS, and DHCP.
