Part-Time Retail Associate

Position Details Position Status: Part-Time. Hourly Rate: $16.00. Location: 414 Arthur Ave., Morris, IL 60450. Job Summary The Retail Associate assists the store management team in reaching operational goals by performing a variety of tasks in a retail setting. The associate may work in any of the following capacities: Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e-Books Producer, Rack or Cart Runner. Responsibilities Cashier Ring up customer orders, balance the cash drawer and follow all cash handling procedures. Provide general information about Goodwill programs and answer customer questions. Direct higher level questions to the appropriate associate or manager. Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and the sales area. Textiles or Wares Producer Sort product to identify quality and value; check for holes, missing buttons, defective zippers, stains and clean as needed. Properly tag, barge and hang textiles or wares. Produce 100 items per hour for wares or 85 items per hour for textiles while adhering to pricing standards. Update daily production tracking sheet. Occasionally use a pallet jack and regularly use a conveyor belt. Donation Door Attendant Accept donations from customers and maintain a clear donation door. Quickly and accurately sort products and distribute them to appropriate areas. Maintain a clean and organized backroom, labeling boxes and keeping everything in its place. Load and unload trucks, using heavy equipment including pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber and hydraulic lift. eCommerce Producer Identify and secure items of value for ClickGoodwill. Stay informed of market values via eBay and other online sites. Tag, itemize and secure items in totes for ClickGoodwill. Efficiently pack curated products onto pallets, wraps and ship totes to ClickGoodwill while meeting store budget requirements. e-Books Producer Scan books received by the store and decide what is sent to ClickGoodwill or displayed at location. Print inventory sheets and pack, seal, and ship totes for ClickGoodwill. Identify top sellers and manage a clean, organized, in-store display. Rack and Cart Runner Check each rack/cart to ensure quality and value. Size, merchandise and purge the sales floor. Maintain clean and orderly sales floor; put away carts and stock shelves. Run one textile rack/wares cart per 15 minutes and update daily production tracking sheet. Required Competencies Customer Focus: Ability to serve customers impartially and effectively.
